BAFE’s first Halloween show featured the big-screen premier of WILLIAM WINCKLER’S FRANKENSTEIN VS. THE CREATURE FROM BLOOD COVE. Playing to both sides of the Bay, we held shows on Friday night in Burlingame (Hyatt Cinema) and Saturday night in Alameda (Auctions by the Bay). Both shows featured Producer/Director/Writer/Star William Winckler and cast and crew members from the movie.

Also shown were a reel of trailers provided by Webster Colcord and a 3D short, MURDERS IN 3D shown on glorious 16mm with 3D glasses by Bob Ekman.

Both shows were hosted with kinetic energy by Cleveland horror movie legend, The Ghoul (Ron Sweed) [www.theghoul.com], who was on KBHK TV-44 here in the SF Bay Area in the mid-seventies. In fact, two generations of horror hosts were on stage as MR. LOBO from KTEH Channel 54’s CINEMA INSOMNIA introduced The Ghoul and joined him for boffo socko fun, mangling the medullas of the audience with pumpkinseed snorting contests, Time Warp pelvic thrust competitions and other antics. The Ghoul met with fans, signed autographs, took pictures and was a big crowd pleaser. Look for him to return for future BAFE shows!

Lobbies of both theaters featured props and costumes from Dennis Lancaster and Halloween, monster and horror merchandise was everywhere!

All attendees got free light-up spider pins and exclusive "I Survived a Night of Terror! Frankenstein vs. the Creature From Blood Cove" BAFE t-shirts provided by Harrison’s Halloween.
